Our Story – From a little dream to the Deed!

It all started at the Baltimore Museum of Art, we both stood in front of an exhibit featuring a silo, talking about how one day, we’d love to have a little hobby farm of our own.

Fast forward to today—2 acres, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 70 chickens, and two growing middle schoolers later—we’re building that dream at Harmony Farm & Escape.

For me, farming is more than just growing food—it’s about connection, tradition, and sustainability. My fondest childhood memories are with my grandmother, Vannie, working in the garden, pulling up potatoes, and sitting in the shade of an old tree as we snapped green beans together. She taught me the value of working with the land, preserving food, and caring for every harvest.

That love for the land runs deep, and it’s why I’m so passionate about sustainable soil practices—because better soil means better produce, healthier food, and a thriving ecosystem for future generations.

This farm is our way of bringing that vision to life—rooted in tradition, growing for the future. Follow our journey on YouTube, stop by our Tin Can Farmstand for farm-fresh eggs, and be part of a community that believes in good food, good soil, and a better way to farm.
